Our services include Companionship, Personal Services (bathing/washing/hygiene), Alzheimer's/ Dementia Care, Transitional Care, Wound Care, Ostomy Care, Physical and Occupational Therapies and importantly client condition observation. Constant family and physician communication is vital.

In many cases, personal care services may be combined with our therapists and our skilled medical services. This provides consistent engagement to cater to each individual and their needs.

Lillian Fernandez, RN

Business Owner and Entrepreneur

Lillian Fernandez is the Owner of Morgan Star Home Care LLC. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, she served as the Director of Nursing at a homecare company in Northern Virginia where she conducted thorough head-to-toe assessments of clients, developed care plans for new clients, and ensured that all caregivers adhered to established processes and procedures to provide the highest level of care for patients in an efficient and effective manner.

In addition to her nursing responsibilities, Lillian plays a key role in scheduling caregivers to maintain quality and consistency of care. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Shenandoah University.

Prior to her current position, Lillian worked as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting from 2012 to 2019, where she was recognized with the prestigious Daisy award in 2015.

David Thomas

Chief Operating Officer

David Thomas is originally from England and immigrated to Washington DC in 1980 with his wife, Josie, after earning his Engineering Degree in Northampton, England. Throughout his career, he worked for various U.S. technology companies such as Fairchild Space Company, BAE Systems, and iRobot. In 2002, David transitioned from pure engineering to a Business Development and Marketing role, where he introduced U.S. technologies to markets in Europe, Scandinavia, and Asia. He quickly rose to the position of Vice President before retiring in 2020.

In 2020 and 2021, David worked as a Business Consultant, focusing on marketing and branding for a homecare company. He now plans to leverage his marketing expertise and leadership skills to support his daughter, Lillian, in her future endeavors with Morgan Star Home Care.
